Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Christian Therapist who is either fully licensed or a licensed associate working toward full licensure. The ideal candidate is committed to integrating Christian faith into the therapeutic process (as requested by clients) while maintaining high clinical standards and ethical care.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold one of the following Connecticut credentials:
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA)
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA)
Master of Social Work (MSW) (license-eligible or licensed)
Or full licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW)
Additional requirements:
Active Connecticut license (or associate license in good standing)
Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field
Commitment to integrating Christian faith and clinical best practices
Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Develop treatment plans and conduct assessments
Integrate Christian principles into therapy when appropriate
Participate in supervision (for associate-level clinicians)

Practices appropriate medication management and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards. Conducts psychiatric evaluations, monitors medication, contributes to differential diagnosis/treatment planning. May carry a therapy caseload as directed. Functions as part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team. Participates in chart review/peer review. Willingness to use of natural alternatives
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Provides reasonable and prudent psychiatric/medical care. Practice appropriate medication management and use sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidenced-based medicine. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction
Consults internally with multidisciplinary staff and with community providers as appropriate
Generates appropriate referrals for acute, chronic and preventive behavioral/medical health care. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with community agencies
Educates patients on preventive behavioral/medical health care and chronic disease management and refers to appropriate resources or agencies
Practices appropriate follow-up care, outreach to special needs patients. Retrieves labs, diagnostic imaging and other consultation reports as indicated
Submits encounters following established procedures to ensure accurate authorization of service, accurate coding and timely filing
Meets productivity expectations
Documents in timely and legible manner consistent with State, Federal and accreditation guidelines
Properly documents any off-label use of psychiatric medications
Attends/participates and contributes to departmental and committee meetings
Contributes to grant application as appropriate
Participates in protocol/policy/procedure development and revision in collaboration with Medical Director and Program Director of the site(s)
Provides on-call and coverage accessibility when needed
Provides supervision, guidance/consultation for staff as needed and directed by Medical or Program Director of the site(s)
Demonstrates competency in standards of psychiatric care
Conscientious work ethic, professionalism and accountability
Provides assistance during periods of agency need and accept new assignments
Participates in Peer Review

Qualifications
A Psychiatric APRN must have an MSN from an accredited program and certified by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing (Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist PMH-CNS and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMH-NP). Must be Board certified or eligible. Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. A Psychiatric Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an accredited PA Training Program and have NCCPA certification and licensure to practice as an Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Physician Assistant in the State of Connecticut.
Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge and competency regarding diagnosis, assessment and treatment of behavioral health services. Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to generate high levels of client satisfaction. Ability to work with interdisciplinary team. Must demonstrate age specific/population specific competencies in area(s) of practice.
